BACK PAIN

One of the most common conditions I treat are moms that are still dealing with low back pain years after they have had their babies. Research tells us that about 80% of people will deal with low back pain in their lifetime! I see moms and general people with back pain every day and I’m here to provide you with the tools to deal with the ROOT of the problem with your back pain so it doesn’t come back again.

Putting ice or heat on it or getting a massage may feel nice for the short term, but that is not actually going to fix the problem for good!

When you are properly evaluated for your low back pain, we will examine posture, movement when the pain comes on, examine the joints of your back, pelvis, and hips, look for areas of tightness or weakness in the back and hip muscles, and then provide you a DETAILED program that will get rid of your back pain!

We have a proven Movement Physio and Wellness 3-Step Method to help get rid of your back pain for good. The 3-Step Method works in three phases: Elongate, Elevate, and Empower.

 

ELONGATE.

 

We need to calm down the nervous system in order to reduce your pain and length tissues that are tight. We do this by incorporating breathwork and hands-on manual therapy techniques to get your muscles to relax. (Visits 1-4)

 

ELEVATE.

 

Once the tissues are calmed down and your pain is reduced, we will work on the brain to muscle connection and re-educate the muscles to fire the correct way. (Visits 5-8)

 

EMPOWER.

 

We work on functional strengthening of the muscles to help keep you strong and prevent this problem from returning again. We make sure you have all the “tools” in your “toolbox” so you feel empowered to take care of your body so you never experience this problem again! (Visits 9-12)

“I have had daily back pain since an injury in 2017. I had a posterior annular tear that caused a domino effect of all sorts of pain in my lower back and I suffer pretty greatly everyday. I have always been frustrated with basic physical therapy as I felt it was not getting to the root of my issue.
